Nigel Davies
Starting out at the BBC, Nigel learnt the tricks of the trade as a film edit assistant then Editor and soon went to work in USA as a commercials editor.
Specialising in Avid, he is a familiar face in some of the UK’s biggest post houses having regularly worked on some of the UK’s biggest drama series including Eastenders, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks. After 15 years in the game Nigel has a confidence and technical knowledge that is a valuable resource to have on any project.
OTHER WORK
Started at the BBC in 1983 as an assistant Film Editor. Moved to a Facility House in 1986 (INSYNC) where I was based until 1988. - From 1988 to 1990 I lived and worked in Hollywood, California. I worked for one of the largest commercial houses: Hollywood Film and Tape where I edited commercials on 35mm film until the introduction of non-linear editing. -I returned to work for INSYNC based in Manchester until 1993 and have been freelance editor ever since.

I teach and train in Tunis, Tunisia for BBC Media Action, I train Libyan Media students Final Cut Pro X – from basic to intermediate editing & Post Production.
