About NWEG

The North West Editors Guild was formed in the summer of 2008 by a group of like-minded editors who realised that the broadcast industry in the North West was in need of a central resource where producers, production managers and facilities houses could find reputable editors.

It is now possible to find time-served professional broadcast editors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at short notice and out of regular office hours.

The Guild's membership has been selected by invitation only, on the strength of each individual's work and reputation.

To create this service, all the featured editors have paid the same joint ownership fee to fund the design, development and maintenance of the site.

There are no hidden benefactors or business interests; the site is owned by all of us.

The Guild is not an agency - it's a means of making contact with time-served editors. All negotiations regarding payment and appropriate skill sets remains confidential, between the two parties involved.

The site has been designed to allow everyone who requires a time-served broadcast editor in the North West of England to find one quickly and easily.

You can search in two ways:

By Editor

If you know which specific editor you would like to book, click on "NWEG Editors" above, select your editor and you will be able to view their current CV and their availability diary. Green blocks signify that they are booked - grey ones show that they are pencilled. A white block means they are likely to be available on that particular day. Please use their mobile number to contact them immediately, or use their NWEG email address to email them.

By Availability and/or Skills Required

If you have no preference for your choice of editor, but require someone reputable on a set day or dates, please use the Availability Checker.

Here you'll be able to choose whether you need a picture editor or dubbing editor, whether the editor operates Avid, FCP, Premiere or other edit systems, whether they offer online or offline services, and what their primary genres are - factuals, entertainment, drama, reality, etc. Then enter the dates you require the editor for, and click Submit.

Our database will then search all of our members' diaries to see who is available, and will present you with a randomly-ordered list of available editors. Choose the editor you'd like to book, view their CV, and give them a call or send them an email.

We hope this service is of use to you. Please email us if you encounter serious issues (such as editors' diaries showing they are available, when in fact they are booked), or if you would like to request features which would make your searches more productive.

Thank you for visiting and please come back soon!
